Horn bangle with resin decoration

Only the most beautiful horns are turned into high quality horn jewellery (the ugly ones go to the fields as long-term fertilizer). Here we took a nice horn with lovely grain and cut off a slice. The raw bangle is sanded to the desired shape before contrasting resins are applied to create additional effect. Finally the piece of jewellery is lightly sanded one more time and polished to s silky shine.

This very bangle is about 3 cm wide and has an inner diameter (wrist width) of around 7 cm.

Natural horn is strong, resilient and feather-light. With its interesting, naturally grown grain, horn is a great resource for creating lovely horn jewellery. Please bear in mind that thanks to the texture of raw horn, each item is of unique colour and character.
