Necklace from two kinds of horn

Similar to this tripartite pendant here, also this graceful horn necklace has been created by inlaying black buffalo horn with light cow horn for wonderful contrast and effect.

The necklace is around 84 cm long and consisting of ten square pieces of buffalo horn, inlaid with the contrasting cow horn. For the rest of the necklace we use a fine chain of small horn links.

Natural horn is strong, resilient and light as a feather. With its interesting, naturally grown grain, horn is a great base material for creating lovely horn jewellery.
Please bear in mind that thanks to the texture of raw horn, each item is of unique colour and character.
