These beautiful and sustainable bags are hand woven from water hyacinth straw. Water hyacinths originate from South America, but have invaded all tropical lakes and rivers worldwide. They grow so fast, people were searching for applications. Apart from fuelling bio-gas plants and decontaminating bodies of water, the hyacinths can also be turned into paper and our lovely hand bags.

Please bear in mind that our straw bags are flammable and handmade from natural material, therefore protect your bag from fire and moisture and forebear certain minor variations in colour, pattern and size.
